Growing up in North Texas in the late 70’s with the last name Street, there is a good chance that you ended up in the restaurant business, and Michael is no exception. Another nephew of legendary Dallas restaurateur Gene Street, Michael got his start at 15 in the original Fort Worth Black Eyed Pea back in 1979. Michael worked for his uncle off and on for years where he learned the business from the ground up.
Eventually, Michael went out on his own in the late 80’s, and was on the opening teams of some of Dallas’s most beloved restaurant concepts such as: The Elm Street Winery, The Deep Ellum Café, and the General Manager of the original Sambuca Jazz Café.
In 2000, Michael headed off to The Big Apple where he really learned about Events Management. After spending time in many of New York’s most dynamic events venues, Michael was able to hone his skills to what they are today.
After 10 years, he is back home in Dallas and knew exactly where to find a job.
